This pizza parlor has been around ever since I could remember. With most off the big franchises out there like Pizza hut and Dominos, lots of people have not ever been to Me & Ed's... they are missing out!
We had decided to play it safe and order the Medium sized Classic Italian.
The toppings included mushrooms, pepperoni, green peppers and onions. It had minimal crust(just the way I like it!); the dough was crispy, and medium thin.
The Classic Italian was exactly what I expected. Very traditional with a bit of a zesty taste from the pepperoni. The green peppers, especially tasted very fresh. This pizza was not as oily as most other franchise pizzas I've had.. However, it IS a pizza, so it still contains its fair share. The combination in portions were well done, as there were no overload on one topping to compensate the absence of another. Overall it is a good pizza, without any surprises. It's just satisfying because it is the way it should be made.
The service was regular. Sometimes it would be difficult to grab our waitress' attention as she was chatting with other customers or coworkers, but she was very friendly and catered to our needs promptly.
The environment was well thought out. I only noticed after Betty acknowledged the booths are on separate levels. We suspect this is for all the customers to be visible during servicing. This can be very helpful for waitresses in case of a busy night. The ground level tables can be put together for larger sized parties. The only issue was the televisions mounted on the walls were difficult to watch because of their awkward placement.
Me & Ed's is a good pizza parlor, and I look forward to taste the more exotic pizzas they craft in the near future.
